Entry Level Electrical Engineer

MSA is looking for an enthusiastic electrical engineer to join our Baraboo office. We will provide you with the mentoring and team environment that will allow you to learn and grow your professional career. This position will allow you to work on a variety of municipal water and wastewater utility projects throughout the Midwest.
Preparation of plans using AutoCAD/MEP software of municipal water and waste water utility projects
Preparation of equipment, material, and control specifications and schedules using Word and Excel
Preparation of facility energy audits
Preparation of photometric and Illumination evaluations and layouts
Preparation of facility power distribution including sizing and selection of emergency standby power solutions
Preparation of process, instrumentation, control layouts for municipal water and wastewater facilities.
Preparation and layout of power circuits and motor control circuits.
Design development of LANs and WANs data communication networks used in Municipal SCADA systems.
Preparation of plans with layouts of municipal utility building and related system including BAS (building Automation Systems, fire detection & alarming systems, HVAC, and plumbing, and lighting systems
Preparation of details, specifications, and bidding documents
Preparation of technical reports for projects
Provide construction observation services
Provide construction administration services
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Environmental Engineering by May 2018 required
The ideal candidate will have up to 3 years of prior electrical engineering experience
Minimum of a 2.75 GPA required
Previous engineering internship or co-op experience required
Previous experience with electrical design of municipal water or wastewater projects preferred
AutoCAD experience preferred
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Successfully passed FE exam is preferred
