The Lineman is responsible for the construction, maintenance, operations and outage restoration on the cooperative's distribution facilities in a safe and efficient manner, to assure its members of safe, reliable and affordable supply of electric energy. The position also involves climbing poles, considerable walking and standing, frequent lifting and exposure to weather extremes. Position also involves after hours response to system outages.
Must have successfully completed 7000 hours in the Apprentice Lineman training program, qualifying you as a Journeyman Lineman. As a condition of employment, must possess and be able to retain a "Class A" commercial driver's license. If hired, must also reside within 25 miles of the cooperative's headquarters in Grawn, MI. (Traverse City Area) Please do not apply if you do not meet these requirements. Must also be readily available to respond to system outages after normal work hours.
Must be computer proficient. Must be of the highest integrity, dependable, patient and strong in customer relations.
