Regulatory Compliance Coordinator/Administrator

Job Description:  The Regulatory Compliance Coordinator/Administrator will implement and administer CIPCO’s North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) / Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) Compliance Plan.  This position is the primary contact for all CIPCO NERC/MRO compliance activities.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Respond to questions and requests for assistance regarding the CIPCO NERC/MRO Compliance Plan from CIPCO personnel and authorized internal and external compliance authorities.

·         Perform the initial investigations, in coordination with supervisor and/or other CIPCO management, for potential CIPCO exposure to new NERC and MRO Reliability Standards requirements associated with new or changes to existing CIPCO activities, processes, procedures, agreements or contractual arrangements.

·         Monitor the NERC and MRO web sites and other communications identifying activities regarding new or revised Reliability Standards applicable to CIPCO and notify the responsible CIPCO managers of potential impacts to CIPCO.

·         Ensure all applicable NERC Standards Policies, Procedures, Evidence and other documents are produced, updated and reviewed. 

·         Submit and maintain records documenting compliance with NERC/MRO Reliability Standards requirements to the document management system.

 

Qualifications:

·          3 to 5 years work experience, Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent experience in related fields. Other degrees may be considered based on candidate’s work experience. 

·         Ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities effectively.

·         Excellent project management and analytical skills.

·         Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills.

·         Exceptional focus and attention to details.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

·         Ability to independently lead and gain respect of technical staff.

·         Self-motivated and confident with the desire to take ownership of areas of responsibility.

·         Ability to forge strong relationships and gain respect across all areas of the company.

·         Desire to contribute and work well in team environments and help others succeed.

 

Additional desired attributes include:

·         Experience in the electric utility industry is preferred. 

·         NERC or other regulatory compliance experience preferred.
