AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Electrical Designer for immediate employment for the Portland, OR or Phoenix, AZ office. This position however, will first be embedded onsite with a client in Reno, NV. Certain living costs will be paid by the Client. It is expected after the yearlong assignment that the person will return to either the Portland or Phoenix office locations to remain as part of the Mission Critical and Advanced Technologies Team.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
+ Participate in developing system narratives (writing, organizing the document, develop concepts)
+ CAD/BIM design and drafting
+ Coordinate electrical system design with mechanical engineers, architects, and other design professionals
+ Review own work to ensure accuracy (rather than depend on peer review)
+ Interact and work with diverse set of internal clients
+ Associates Degree in drafting and design engineering
+ 5+ years of electrical design experience within a consulting or design-build firm
+ Experience with AutoCAD/Revit (Revit is preferred)
+ Experience with Design Build and other Alternative Delivery practices
+ Excellent communication skills: articulate, assertive and confident
+ Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills
+ Thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team
+ Enjoy developing innovative solutions to challenging opportunities

+ Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
+ Bachelors degree in electrical engineering
+ Experience in analyzing equipment energy use for optimizing systems selection, CEM designation, load calculations, developing preliminary schematics and onelines
+ Experience in the following markets:
+ Data Centers/Mission Critical
+ Corporate Commercial / Mixed Use
