Line Troubleman


Under indirect and intermittent supervision, working mostly on a rotating shift, but at times on a regular day-shift assignment, and regularly working alone, to patrol, repair and restore service or report the nature of trouble found on overhead, or, as required, on underground circuits; to inspect and operate automatic substation equipment; incidental thereto to drive a Company automobile equipped with tools and materials; to make residential, commercial or industrial trouble calls, and handle customer service repairs and adjustments as found necessary to restore service; and to perform similar and less skilled work as required. Graduation from high school or the equivalent. 

One year of experience as a Lineman or successful completion of the Apprentice Line Troubleman Training program. 

Thorough knowledge of overhead line construction and standard practices. 

Be adept in artificial respiration. 

Be alert, neat in appearance, resourceful, agile, quick-acting, able-bodied.
