Job Title : Project Engineer
Location : San Jose
Reports to : Sr. Project Manager
Position Summary: The Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Controls Manager, Superintendent, and the General Foreman in the process of performing his/her duties.

Tracking Labor Hours and Field Work Tags
Estimating: for ordering materials and change orders
Expediting: obtaining and channeling information
Ordering: equipment & materials
Attend meetings as necessary
Insure that all linemen in the field have all the information and materials they need to construct a quality project for the customer.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with the Owner, Utility, general contractor, subcontractors and all vendors.
Communicating with the general public about work activities and clearances.
Pre-field visits to work locations to coordinate construction
Coordination of work order scheduling and routing
Minimum Job Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required.
2+ years of experience in the industry (utility-related experience highly desired)
Must be willing to travel both locally and for the length of a project
Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Accubid Pro experience preferred
Scheduling ability with Microsoft Projects and/or Primavera P6 experience preferred
Satisfactory driving record
Ability to work unsupervised in a field setting
